Corvette C6 tuning

The Corvette C6 is the sixth generation of the line of sports cars produced by the Chevrolet division o General Motors. There are quite a few changes between the C6 and the fifth generation Corvettes, including an overhaul of the suspension geometry, all new bodywork with exposed headlamps, a larger passenger compartment, and a larger engine.

The C6 has developed a fanbase of its own, but various tuning options haven't ceased to appear ever since the car was launched on the market.

For example the Corvette C6 Blackforce, developed by German tuning company Loma Performance, is one of the most interesting tunes of 2009. The car was widened from 179cm to more than two meters. The engine is twin-turbocharged making it possible to turn out 783 horsepower, so it can reach 60 mph in 3.4 seconds.

Geiger Cars have also turned out their own variation on the C6. The exterior was not changed at all, but the inside of the car was completely turned upside down. Engine modifications lead to a power of 386 kW (524 PS), the torque has increased to 637 Nm. Acceleration from 0 to 60 mph takes only 3.7 seconds. Obviously the chassis had to be modified as well, so the original flat springs have been replaced by the more proper wounded springs.

Innotech, a new but promising Czech tuning company released modified coupe and convertible Corvette C6’s, reconfigured to produce between 500 and 560 horsepower. The car’s body is also quite heavily modified, with some fans claiming that the Vette ends up looking more Italian than American.
