BMW M6 tuning
The BMW M6 is a high-performance version of the 6-Series automobile, designed by the motorsport division of the German manufacturer. The M6 model is a great car in its original state, but with some clever tuning it can become absolutely amazing.
For example, the G-Power BMW M6 Hurricane CS, constructed by the German tuning company G-Power broke the record for the fastest rolling coupe in the world. The Hurricane is equipped with a twin supercharged V10 engine delivering 750 hp and 590 ft-lbs of torque. This kind of incredible performance was no easy thing to achieve. The engineers at G-Power had to install ASA T1-316 superchargers and forged pistons from Mahle in order to compression. The tuned version uses Michelin tires in sizes 255/35 ZR19 in the front and 305/30 ZR19 tires in the rear. The car’s exhaust system went through a complete overhaul, and was rebuilt using titanium. The new exhaust system is significantly lighter than the old one.
The Hurricane can reach 62 mph in 4.4 seconds, 124 mph in 9.6 seconds, and 187 mph in just 26 seconds. You can’t roll at speeds like these unless you’ve got some reliable brakes, so G-Power switched the old brakes with a 50% lighter Carbon-Ceramic system, with 6-piston calipers and large 380 mm brake discs.
But the G-Power BMW M6 Hurricane CS is not the only tuned version of the standard car. The Hamann BMW M6 is a race edition whose V10 was perked up with some technological features derived directly from Formula 1.
The BMW M6 is a favourite among car tuners because it already has a solid performance that can be improved in various ways. So if you've got the right wallet, you can surely find the right BMW M6 for you.
